The family of Jack De Bromhead say it means a lot to have a race named after him.
This year's Leopardstown Christmas hurdle will be named after the teen, who tragically died during a freak accident during a pony race in Kerry earlier this year.
It's the second race in his honour, in addition to the Maher’s Novices Hurdles at Cheltenham.
His father Henry De Bromhead says Jack would've loved to attend the festival:
"Yeah, we were blown away by the gesture it's you know, just I suppose every bit of every bit of support your guests gives you great strength Jacksy would love to have been over there artists and yeah, look it's it's amazing."
