There are deep issues with An Bord Pleanala which the government must address, according to a Green Party TD.
It's after a report examining alleged conflicts of interest by the then-deputy chair Paul Hyde was handed over to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Minister Darragh O'Brien confirmed last night that the report has now been handed to Gardai, the Standards in Public Office Commission and the DPP on the advice of the Attorney General.
They now decide whether to publish that report, and Green TD Neasa Hourigan says even a redacted publication must be made in a timely manner.
"The DPP does need time to look at the report, I hope that it is published, even in a redacted form, in a fairly timely manner.
"It does deepen concerns around this issue, however this issue is not confined to Mr. Hyde, and it is incredibly serious."
