Gardaí have launched an investigation after four people were filmed riding scramblers without helmets and doing wheelies on the busiest road in Cork.
The footage from the N40 South Ring Road shows one of the group filming as another rides a scrambler on its back wheel at high speed.
It comes as the government prepares to introduce a ban on the vehicles in public places, following the death of 16-year-old Grace Lynch, who was struck by one in Finglas in Dublin last month.
Chair of Cork City Council’s Transport Committee, Councillor Peter Horgan, says he's shocked by the footage
"If there was a situation where it went drastically wrong. where would we be now today? Potentially looking at funerals happening. But it seems that these people who are using such scrambler e bikes and filming them for their own enjoyment on whatever platforms they're on, simply just don't care about society"
