Cork and international sports personalities have been sending messages of support to Bishopstown club-man Mick Cronin ahead of the #matchesformick event in Bishopstown GAA club this Thursday and Friday.

Mick, 52, suffered life-changing injuries from a workplace fall last November leaving him with no movement from the shoulders down. Cork GAA personalities such as Dr Con Murphy, Diarmuid O’ Sullivan, Kieran Kingston, Dinny Allen, and Conor Counihan have been amongst fifty sportspeople offering encouragement to Mick, his wife Karen, daughter Ailbhe and son Sean ahead of the two-day Gaelic games marathon involving 15 Cork GAA clubs.

Liverpool’s Carabao Cup-winning goalkeeper Coaimhin Kelleher also contacted Kiskeam native Mick to tell him to keep focused on his treatment and recovery.
