Matthew Twomey is the 2023 PWC Camogie Manager of the year.

It was announced this morning that the Douglas clubman had taken then honour after leading the Rebels to the All Ireland Title.

Twomey was appointed boss in 2021, leading them to the All Ireland final that year and in 2022, before defeating Waterford in this year's decider to bring the O'Duffy Cup back to Leeside for the first time in 5 years.

He stepped down from the role earlier this month.

Speaking on the announcement, Camogie Association Uachtarán Hilda Breslin said "sincere congratulations to Matthew Twomey on his outstanding achievements and for being an exemplary figure as Manager of the Cork Camogie team.

"His ability to inspire and motivate his team, coupled with his unwavering commitment, truly sets him apart as a deserving winner of the PwC Camogie Manager of the Year.

"I would like to wish Matthew the very best in his future endeavours."
