Frank and Walters singer Paul Linehan has revealed the story behind the inspiration of the band's huge anthem "After All"
The frontman dated English girl Katy Linfield in the early nineties but lost contact after they split in 1994.
The 1992 hit has gone through a resurgence of popularity after it was used in the TV comedy The Young Offenders
Paul told the Neil Prendeville Show he wrote the song after an argument with Katy about the amount of time he was spending in Ireland
"We had an argument on the phone., I rang her from a phone box in Bishopstown, and when I came back I just got inspired to write the song there and then. I just wanted to express how much I appreciated having her in my life and how much I loved her, you know, and how I didn't want to lose her"
