Fórsa has expressed serious concern after a Cork school secretary was assaulted last week.
Gardaí say they are investigating the attack which happened in the Blackrock area on Friday morning where a woman in her 60’s was treated for injuries.
Speaking to RedFM News, Watergrasshill National School Secretary Noreen O'Callaghan says staff and parents of children across schools are frightened after hearing of the incident:
"It was shocking because this could have happened in any school, it's something that the Boards of Management need to keep an eye on. This could have happened to anyone, it could have happened to a child, a teacher, an SNA, it is everyone's worst nightmare."
