A travel warning's been issued to Irish people heading overseas for cosmetic surgery and weight-loss procedures.
It follows the death of a young Dublin mother who travelled to Turkey for a medical procedure this month.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it's aware that some citizens have experienced complications after treatments in Turkey, and a number have died following medical procedures.
It says travellers should inform themselves of both the risks and benefits of any procedures abroad, and discuss their plans carefully with their own specialist before committing to any procedure overseas.
