Traders in Douglas Village Shopping Centre gear up to reopen their doors

Traders in Douglas Village Shopping Centre are gearing up to reopen on Thursday after a devastating fire in the multi-storey car park in August 2019 forced them to close their doors.

Many of the traders who put contingency plans in place during reconstruction encountered further difficulties when COVID19 hit.

However they say local support has kept them afloat and they're anticipating a busy end to 2020 with the reopening of the shopping centre.

However not all traders are reopening with many still closed due to Level5 restrictions.

Krzysztof Zabinski of Leonard Hair and Beauty says they're very excited about returning to their salon once restrictions are eased and bookings for December are already coming in:
