Social Protection Minister Plans To Defer Cuts To Rate Of Pandemic Unemployment Payment

Cuts to the payments were due to come in from February 1st with the number of bands being reduced.

However, Minister Heather Humphreys says in light of the new Level Five restrictions she plans to delay that move:

"I have to consult with my government colleagues. But my hope is that the PUP payment will continue at the current rates on till the end of March, but I have to get agreement at cabinet"
