Capacity on public transport returns to 100% from today.

It's the first time full capacity will be restored on buses, trains and trams since the start of the pandemic.

The change applies to all operators and comes ahead of the phased return to offices from September 20th.

Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says people need to remember mask wearing remains "the law" on public transport.

"That's the way roll, we show respect to other people on the bus or on the train, but it's also the law.

"You have to wear a mask in retail, in health settings, and on public transport.

"You've got to keep the windows open, you've got to be careful. There's still high incidence - this is not over."
