It has been announced that pay parking is to be temporarily suspended in Bandon and Kinsale.
A decision has not been made on when the policy will commence however it's understood a two hour time limit will be imposed on parked vehicles.
A town reactivation meeting for Bandon was held yesterday where the new measure was discussed in a bid to incentivise tourism and encourage people to shop locally once COVID19 restrictions are lifted.
