NPHET To End Routine Contact Tracing For People With Covid-19 When Remaining Pandemic Restrictions Are Lifted In Four Weeks

The National Public Health Emergency Team is to end routine contact tracing for people with Covid-19, when remaining pandemic restrictions are lifted in four weeks.

According to today's Irish Times a decision will be made after NPET monitors the effect of this weeks move to allow asymptomatic children, who are close contacts, to continue going to school.

At present over 1,000 HSE staff are involved in contacting thousands of close contacts every week.
