The Labour Party has warned Lockdown 4 will be on the cards if the government botches its revised living with COVID plan.

A new roadmap for exiting the current restrictions will be published in two weeks as the government decides what might be allowed to open after March 5th.

A phased re-opening of schools and the full construction sector is likely - but personal services like barbers and hairdressers will remain closed.

Labour leader Alan Kelly moved a motion in the Dáil this morning calling for aggressive suppression of the virus.

"We basically are saying we need to eliminate community transmission. Otherwise we believe we will be in lockdown 4.

"The key test of whatever strategy [the government] brings forward will be to prevent that happening."
