Over 830 people have signed a petition by Irish Doctors for the Environment for a cycle lane stretching from CUH to the City centre,
The proposed cycle lane would pass the Bon Secours, UCC, the Mercy and the South Infirmary.
The group say the plan has the potential to revolutionise cycling in the city and are urging the council to implement ambitious plans to protect cyclists as lockdown ends.
