Cork County Council Confirms Trial To Close 2 Roads In Kinsale

It's in a bid to boost the town as it reopens

The local authority has identified Kinsale as one of the towns in the county that could be the most impacted economically from the social distancing restrictions brought on by COVID19.

Temporary street closures will be imposed seven days a week on Short Quay and on Sundays on Main Street to allow for a more open space for pedestrians.

Speaking to RedFM News Ciaran Fitzgerald of The Blue Haven Collection in Kinsale says the entire concept will help the restaurant industry, which is the town's biggest employer, through the fallout of COVID19:
