A Chinese university twinned with UCC has donated 10,000 face masks to Cork University Hospital.
The donation has come from Minzu University in Beijing which has been a partner university to UCC for a number of years.
Separately UCC alumi in China have donated money for the purchase of PPE.
UCC's Beijing office organised the delivery of face masks and gowns to front line healthcare staff, with the first delivery arriving at CUH last weekend.
