A young American man who was reported missing yesterday was found suffering of exposure and dehydration in the Beara Peninsula.
The Castletownbere Coastguard were alerted to his disappearance around 3 o'clock after he hadn't returned home from work in Trafask, Adrigole on Saturday evening.
After searching for an hour and a half by foot and air, Gardaí at the scene were alerted to a possible sighting by a neighbour.
In a statement to RedFM News the Casteltownbere Coastguard said they located the man on rough terrain close by and he was suffering from exposure and dehydration.
He was assessed by the rescue crew, stretchered back onto the road and taken to hospital by the national ambulance service for further treatment.
