A man whose mother has been on a trolley at Cork University Hospital since Friday morning has hit out at her treatment.
Brendan says 72 year old mother has been on a trolley in the Emergency Department since Friday morning.
Cork University Hospital are asking members of the public to only attend the ED if absolutely necessary due to increased presentations at the hospital.
In a statement to RedFM News management at CUH are asking the public to explore all available options before turning up at the department.
Figures from the INMO show CUH is the most overcrowded hospital in the country today with 66 people on trolleys.
