640 thousand euro has been raised for a Cork teenager who lost both her legs in a farming accident in July
13 year-old Féile O'Sullivan from the Beara area of West Cork has undergone forty surgeries since her accident and those around her say her positive attitude is inspirational
The teenager is hoping to return home to Allihies next year where she aims to sit her summer exams with her school friends
Spokesperson for the O'Sullivan family, Independent councillor Finbarr Harrington told RedFM News Féile has a great outlook and she is facing her challenges head on
"That positive mindset, I think, has really stood to her during the whole difficult experience that she has had. She just remains so positive, and, you know, she's looking forward to what is ahead for her, and she really, really understands the challenge that she has and the difficulties she will face. But I think she's facing those challenges head on with a very, very positive mindset"
On October 1st the All-Ireland GAA Golf Challenge will be held in Féile's name with funds raised through the event dedicated towards a specially adapted and wheelchair accessible car for the O'Sullivan family
