Volunteers will be digging in in Leap today and tomorrow - as part of Green Skibbereen's 'Atlantic Rainforest Restoration Project'.
The 'Friends of Myross Wood' Volunteers are hosting a Meitheal Weekend to clear an acre of ground - so they can plant a new Oak wood.
It's part of an ongoing project to restore the 'Atlantic Rainforest', remove all non-native species, carry out replacement planting, create public access walks, and educate the public on the benefits of a rainforest in West Cork.
The project has been part-funded by the Department for Agriculture's Woodland Development Fund.
