A representative of voluntary and community groups in Cork has called for Gardaí to be allowed to give evidence in court over video link.
Gerry Moore of Carrigaloe and District Community Association is a member of the Cork County Public Participation Network.
He was speaking at the most recent meeting of the Cork County Joint Policing Committee.
According to today's Echo, Moore believes that the measure would save Garda time and travel expenses for long journeys.
