A vigil for Bruna Fonseca is taking place in The Lough at 1oam today the 8th of January.
The 28 year old's family, friends, members of the Brazilian community in Cork, and Lord Mayor of the City are encouraging people to wear white and light a candle.
Later, a mass will be held at the Penny Dinners Craoí na Laoí centre on James Street to remember Ms Fonseca at 2.45PM
