€30 million euro worth of suspected cocaine has been recovered in West Cork in a joint task force drugs operation
This morning Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau stopped a van in the Courtmacsherry area and a large quantity of the drug was recovered .
Two men in their 30's and 40's were arrested and are currently being detained for questioning
Speaking to RedFM News - Niall O'Connor News Correspondent with the Journal.ie who broke the story - says two other men have been arrested by the Naval service following a high speed sea chase
"At least two other men bolted from the scene in a rigid inflatable hulled boat, and they were pursued by the naval service, and were arrested at gunpoint. They're currently detained by the naval service and will be handed over to Gardai. I believe this is an ongoing operation, there will be further updates, and there may be some more dramatic news shortly in regard to it"
