It’s understood Gardaí are treating the death of a 49-year-old man in Cork as suspicious.
The Ukrainian national was discovered unconscious, close to the Kinsale Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A woman in her 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation and is being held at a Garda station in Cork.
Speaking to RedFM News, Southern Correspondent with the Irish Independent Ralph Riegel outlines what is known about the discovery of the man:
"A man was discovered unconscious and an unresponsive state near a vehicle, which was partially on a grass verge, near a commercial premises just off the Kinsale Road, not very far from Cork airport. He was given medical treatment at the scene. He was transferred to Cork University Hospital where, despite the best efforts of doctors and nurses, he was later pronounced dead".
