Two women sustained serious injuries after an attack in the Blackpool area of the city
The women, one in her 20s and the other in her 30s, were rushed to Cork University Hospital after the assault which happened at a house in in the Orchard Court area of Blackpool, at around half-past three Monday morning.
Their injuries are not life-threatening although they are believed to be serious.
No arrests have been made, but Gardaí have confirmed to RedFM News that a full investigation into the attack is now underway.
