Two dead swans and a dead duck were removed from the Lough over the weekend
The dead birds will undergo testing at the Department of Agriculture laboratory to confirm the presence or otherwise of bird flu.
The results will take up to 10 days to be formally confirmed and in the meantime, biosecurity measures which were introduced at the Lough in September following the first confirmed case of bird flu there, remain in place.
There have now been three confirmed outbreaks across the country with a national housing order in effect.
