Gardai investigating the murder of a man in his early 60's in Macroom last week have arrested two people
61-year-old Michael Foley was found dead at his home in a sheltered housing complex at Barrett's Place in the centre of the town last Tuesday 6th February
The father of four was originally from Clonakilty and had only moved to Macroom in recent times
A post mortem confirmed that he had suffered a violent death
Earlier today, as part of this investigation, a man and a woman, both aged in their 30s, were arrested in Cork City. They are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, at a Garda Station in County Cork.
