Traffic will be diverted in the city centre today, due to the closure of Henry Street, near the Mercy University Hospital.
It's part of a traffic management plan to allow for the removal of a temporary MRI unit from the hospital, and will be in place until 2 o’clock this afternoon.
Parking and pedestrians in the area will be also be restricted.
The temporary unit was used so the hospital could continue its MRI services, while two new inpatient wards and two new operating theatres were being built.
Motorists using the main Cork to Rosslare road today have also been advised to be aware of the convoy moving the large MRI unit.
