Threshold, the national housing charity, prevented over 1100 households from becoming homeless in Cork last year
Nationally 19,400 households reached out for housing support with 4,000 of those households across Cork city and county
Threshold is launching its Annual Report today, highlighting major upgrades to its helpline and growing pressure on renters.
The charity says stronger protections, clearer rules and more security of tenure are still urgently needed.
Threshold says it will keep pushing for stronger renter protections, including improved security of tenure and clearer transparency in the private rental sector.
