Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her 70s was killed when she was hit by a truck in Charleville.
The incident happened on the town’s main street at around 3:45pm yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Main Street Charleville following the incident however the pedestrian in her 70s was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Vintners' Federation of Ireland is calling for more supports for rural pubs.
A new report shows that that 72 percent of pub-owners reported that turnover is similar or better than pre-Covid levels. The same number said they turned over a profit in 2022 when a survey was done on 514 members nationally.

Interpol have been asked to help identify the body part of a person that was found in nets off the county Cork coast.
The Irish Examiner report that DNA has been extracted from the body part, which was found in the sea near Mizen Head.

At least six people have died following a fire at a four-storey hostel in New Zealand's capital, Wellington.
Some of the guests have reported having to jump out of windows to escape.
52 people have so far been confirmed to have made it out, but others are unaccounted for.
