Cabinet will sign-off on its response to a Sinn Fein motion to extend the evictions ban this morning.
The three party leaders met last night and it's believed broad agreement had been reached on a counter motion due to be tabled in the Dail later.

The Government is set to approve a bill to rubber stamp legislation which will bring into effect a windfall tax on energy companies.
The legislation will consist of two parts and will result in gains for revenue of between €280m and €600m being collected.

Crimes against the person have decreased by almost a quarter in the city in the first two months of the year.
The Cork City Joint Policing Committee meeting heard that 196 incidents were recorded between the first of January and 28th of February this year compared to 255 incidents during the same time in 2022.
