- Student's waiting for their Leaving Cert results next week are struggling to secure accommodation for the upcoming college year. Munster Technological University's Students Union say students are contacting them for advice as people from across the country try to secure accommodation near the campus in Bishopstown.
- Gardaí were reportedly deployed to disperse people from ATMs last night as a Bank of Ireland technical fault led to people being able to withdraw money they didn't have. The Irish Independent reports people were able to transfer the money into their Revolut account, and then withdraw it from an ATM.
- A second Grant Thornton report has revealed that Ryan Tubridy was entitled to a bonus of 120 thousand Euro but he waived it. The report also revealed RTÉ ignored its own payroll system to understate his salary.
- US President Joe Biden said he is working with the government to find time to visit Hawaii after the devastating wildfires following a backlash over the manner in which he handled the disaster.
