- A boy remains in a critical condition this morning after a serious crash in Carrigaline. He was cycling on the Cork Road into Carrigaline when his bike was hit by a car at the Ballinrea roundabout on Saturday morning.
- A teenage boy is due in court today in relation to the alleged assault of three tourists in Dublin city centre. It happened near Temple Bar late on Friday.
- Sniffer dogs in Hawaii are continuing to hunt for human remains among the smouldering wreckage of what's become the deadliest US wildfire in more than a century. At least 93 people have died on the island of Maui, and that figure's expected to rise.
- Schools will be under pressure when the new term begins in a few weeks time because of a shortage of teachers. There are currently 643 primary school jobs advertised on the Education posts website, with 456 jobs on offer at secondary schools across the country.
