Temperatures are expected to plummet over the next 24 hours as the country is hit by an arctic blast. Met Éireann has issued warnings for snow and ice with snow already reported in parts of North Cork including Bween, Donoghmore and Mallow.

More than 80 jobs are under threat at Musgraves as it moves to cut costs. The wholesale group owns the SuperValu, Centra, Donnybrook Fair and Daybreak retail brands. It's believed the cuts will be across Human Resources and Finance at its headquarters on Tramore Road as well as Dublin and Belfast.

Changes to regulations around the operation of drones over Cork city come into effect from tomorrow. The restrictions will prevent drones from being flown over large parts of the city without two days notice and could negatively impact search and rescue operations
