Flights have resumed as normal at Cork Airport after disruption this morning. Air traffic control temporarily restricted flights between midnight and 7 o'clock this morning "in order to maintain safe operations".

Over €42,000  was spent on the investigation into a major fish kill in North Cork. Over 40 thousand fish died in the River Blackwater last august when an unknown waterborne irritant entered the water.

Cork City Council has secured two million euro in funding from the European Investment Bank to accelerate retrofits across its housing stock. The support will double the number of council homes being upgraded each year and improve the energy efficiency of public buildings, cutting emissions and long-term costs.
