Students from Munster Technological University and University College Cork are making their way to Leinster House this morning. A protest will take place at 11am over student rent increases.

Over 100 people are without a bed in Cork Prison. Yesterday 397 people were incarcerated at the prison which has only 296 beds.

Brussel sprouts are expected to be the most in-demand product in supermarkets this Christmas. Figures from Aldi show a quarter of all Brussels spouts sold last December were bought on the 23rd, two days before the big day.
