30 people are dead or missing in Haiti, while 4 people were killed in Jamaica by Hurricane Melissa. The weakened but still threatening storm is now headed for Bermuda and the Bahamas.

Gardaí are looking for help in tracing the whereabouts of a 22-year-old man from Ballydesmond. Hassan Alsane, has been missing from his home in Tureen-glana-hee since Saturday October 25th.
