The head of Children's Health Ireland is to apologise to the families affected by the numerous scandals currently plaguing the organisation. Lucy Nugent will appear before the Oireachtas Health Committee today following a series of scandals, including lengthy wait lists for spinal surgeries and unnecessary hip procedures.

Families of immigrant nurses are living in unsafe and unsanitary accommodation. Cork Indian Nurses says people who move here to work are spending over 70% of their salaries on accommodation with some families of 4 sharing one bedroom.
