A driver was caught speeding every four minutes over the bank holiday weekend. A road safety campaign running this weekend also caught 169 people driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. 11 people have died on Cork roads so far this year.

Meanwhile Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a crash between a car and a tractor in Bantry over the weekend. A man in is 80's was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries after the collision at Durrus Cross in Gortnacloona on Saturday night.
