Fine Gael is being blamed for attacking the legal system after Heather Humphreys hit out at Catherine Connolly for representing UK banks. Humphreys says her Presidential race rival Connolly was working as a barrister for them in repossessing homes, according to the Sunday Independent.

A giant pumpkin, which could be the biggest ever grown in the country, will be displayed in a school on Fair Hill this week. The 120 kilo pumpkin was grown by a teacher at North Monastery Co-educational Secondary School and is named the "North Mon-Ster"
