The 89 year old retired farmer from Berrings died on Sunday morning following an alleged assault at the Mercy University Hospital.
A man appeared in court yesterday charged with his murder and is due to appear before the court again on Monday via video link.
Requiem mass takes place tomorrow in St Mary's Church in Berrings at 12 noon, followed by a private burial.
