The Emergency Department at CUH are asking patients to explore all other options available to them before attending the ED

The department is very busy and people may experience long delays due to a large number of very ill patients which require admission.

The situation is being treated as a priority by Hospital Management who have taken steps to address the issue.

However, the hospital management are asking the public to contact their GP or South Doc, before presenting themselves to the hospital, unless their needs are urgent.
