A teenage boy from North Cork who died after falling near a lake in County Kerry has been named.

Darragh Byrne from Charleville was visiting Conor Pass with his parents on Tuesday when he fell from a height.

A multi operational rescue team was launched and the 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Christian Brothers College in Charleville says a book of condolences has been opened for "their dearly loved student Darragh."
