A yellow alert for cold weather and ice remains in effect for the entire country until eleven o'clock tomorrow morning.
This morning's icy conditions led to some minor collisions across the city prompting the Road Safety Authority to urge motorists to ease off the accelerator as the current cold spell continues.
The RSA advises to treat every road as though it is frozen, and if you skid on black ice, do not brake.
