The Teachers' Union of Ireland is congratulating all students receiving their Junior Cycle results today.
Around 73,000 students are getting results, the third year in a row the figure has exceeded 70,000.
Students will receive their results in school today.
TUI President Anthony Quinn says students should be careful in their celebrations - but he also says they should be very proud of themselves.
"Obviously it's a significant milestone for them in their personal educational journey. They and their families should be very proud of their achievements to date.
"Teachers across the country definitely want to acknowledge the unstinting support of their parents and guardians, and the dedication and pastoral care of teachers all through their Junior Cycle years."
