Students in Cork will see their college contribution fee revert back to €3,000.
The Government has confirmed the €1,000 euro reduction of the past three years will end, as the cost of living packages will not be repeated this year.
Speaking to RedFM News, MTU's student union president Richard Noonan says it feels like the election promises to reduce fees are not being fulfilled:
"Quite frankly, it's a betrayal to what students were expecting come the election most recently, with how there were promises towards the fee being reduced and how now it feels like more of a reversal, or like an election stunt."
