Tourists have more choice for accommodation than residents in Kinsale.
That’s according to one student who has been left with no other option than to live in an abandoned boat on the harbour.
People living at Kinsale Harbour say they live on boats because of a shortage of accommodation after concerns were raised at a council meeting.
Speaking to RedFM News, Hannah Wallace who studies in Kinsale says she fixed up an abandoned boat to live in when she realised she could only rent short term:
There's no student accommodation but there's a lot of short term rental accommodation for holiday makers, rather than the people that are trying to live here and study here."
