Sexual Violence Centre Cork says more needs to be done in addressing child sexual abuse.
New research by 1 in 4 found abuse often happens out of sight and is rarely talked about.
Speaking to RedFM News, Mary Crilly from Sexual Violence Centre Cork says people need to wake up and realise child sexual abuse is happening:
"As a society we have rape crisis centres who deal with child sexual abuse such as 1 in 4 here but it's only tipping in and out. So no we haven't woken up, we need to realise this is happening in our society, let's just do something about it."
