School secretaries and caretakers will meet tomorrow ahead of a planned strike this Thursday.
Some small schools could be closed this week if the planned industrial action goes ahead.
The workers represented by Forsa are in a row over pension rights and pay.
Speaking to the Neil Prendeville Show, Victoria Luke, a secretary at St Mary's Special School in Rochestown says caretakers are worse off than secretaries:
"They are painters, decorators, landscape gardeners, carpenters, plumbers, literally jack of all trades and they save an absolute fortune and most of them are on minimum wage and also they sign on in the school holidays. We don't get paid school holidays either by the way we get job seekers allowance added to our wages and divided by 12 so we're still not getting paid for our holidays but these guys have to physically go down to the Post Office."
